The Contemporary Service: Sundays, 10:30 a.m.

At the 10:30 a.m. Sunday service, our encounter with God is grounded in Lutheran liturgy and enhanced by the enthusiasm of contemporary praise music. As we seek relevance for our faith in today’s world, the praise team (consisting of piano, guitar, percussion, and singers) leads the singing and offers a celebratory anthem each week. Some of our musical favorites include “Jesus, what a Wonderful Child,” “Freedom,” “Marching in the Light of God,” and “Amazing Grace/Our Chains are Gone.”

This service begins after Sunday School ends, giving children an opportunity to attend both Sunday School and the contemporary service. The service is approximately one hour long. A nursery staffed by Child Care Givers certified by the Morton Grove Fire Department is also available.
