Elijah's Pantry

Elijah’s Pantry operates out of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church (2643 N. Francisco) in the Logan Square neighborhood on the northwest side of Chicago.

Elijah’s has one simple “no frills” mission:

They provide food to those who cannot provide it for themselves.

During more than 20 years of operation this ministry has provided food to those who need it many tens of thousands of times.

For many years the members of Edgebrook Lutheran Church have supported this ministry through their generous donations of food, money, and time. Various Lutheran churches in Chicago and its suburbs support Elijah’s but few are as generous or consistent in their support as Edgebrook Lutheran Church.

The ministry of Elijah’s Pantry and the support of Edgebrook Lutheran Church provide great examples of what it means to be a Christian.
