Giving at Edgebrook Lutheran Church

All of our members and most of our neighbors and friends know that Edgebrook Lutheran Church suffered a terrible fire in January of 2010. Through the grace of God and the passionate concern of our people, we have committed ourselves to restoring the church to all its glory so we might continue to be of service to the community and the world. We are viewing this as an opportunity to recommit ourselves to our missions, especially youth, seniors, worship and music, and outreach to the community.

Included in our plan will be a renovated worship space that includes an enhanced organ, new seating, restored stained glass windows, and expanded elevator access for the elderly or disabled.

We were very blessed that we were well insured at the time of the fire. Every bit of this money will be put back into the church. However, after much prayer and discussion, we had decided that we need to raise additional funds to upgrade our physical plant for the next century and beyond.

As St. Paul said in his letter to the Philippians, “I’ve got my eye on the goal, where God is beckoning us forward—to Jesus. We’re off and running, and we’re not turning back.”
