Worship, Music & The Arts

Edgebrook Lutheran Church has a long tradition of enhancing Lutheran Liturgy and praising God’s glory with inspiring music and artistic pursuits. The Worship, Music & Arts team is dedicated to enhancing our current Traditional and Contemporary Worship Services through expansion of the arts (music, theatre, dance, art). We are passionate about expanding the music and arts programming and congregational involvement throughout.

Edgebrook Lutheran Church has two primary choirs. The Chancel Choir, an SATB ensemble, leads the Traditional Sunday Worship Service. It is accompanied by an organ and leads the congregation in traditional hymns and anthems by classic composers. The "Hallelujah Chorus" from Handel’s Messiah, "Alleluia" by Randall Thompson, andthe rousing "Old Time Religion Medley," arranged by Mark Hayes, are among the inspiring pieces the group has perfiormed at special Christmas and Easter services.

The Celebration Choir, our second vocal ensemble, leads the Contemporary Sunday service with a variety of lively contemporary hymns and anthems. The Celebration team currently includes singers, piano, guitar, and percussion. Our musical favorites include “Jesus, What a Wonderful Child,” “Freedom,” “Marching in the Light of God,” and “Amazing Grace/Our Chains are Gone.” We always welcome new talent, so come help inspire our congregation.
