WelcomeEdgebrook Lutheran Church is located in a small residential area in northwestern Chicago. We are affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and are a member of the Metropolitan Chicago Synod of the ELCA. We have been serving the Edgebrook and surrounding neighborhoods for almost 70 years and invite all people to join in our spiritual journey. New Contemplative Prayer WorshipIs your life stressful? Do you wish you had more time to spend in prayer and silence? Do you wnt to worship God in a new way? On May 4th, 11th, 25th and June 1st from 7pm-8pm, we will have a new worship opportunity – a contemplative worship led by Vicar Tim. Don’t know how to meditate? Don’t worry; come and learn! The first half hour of each week will be spent exploring different meditation approaches and the second half hour will be practice/worship utilizing meditation. Summer Worship ScheduleThe summer worship schedule will begin on Sunday, May 25th, 2008. There will be one Sunday worship service at 10 am. The Saturday service at 5 pm will remain the same. The fall schedule will resume on Sunday, September 14th, 2008. Vacation Bible SchoolThe dates for our 2008 VBS program have been chosen. Edgebrook Lutheran Church will be offering VBS August 4-8 in our Fellowship Hall. Check our VBS website for more info. Contact the church office at 773-763-2121 to sign up. |
